Terms of sale
These terms apply to every lot on WeldonAuction.com. Updated October 20, 2026.
The seller
The seller of every lot is Weldon Hastings, Cleveland area, Ohio. Every lot is his own property. WeldonAuction.com is his own site; it is not an auction house, does not sell for others and is not affiliated with any other auction house.
Accounts
- You must be 18 or older to bid. One account per person.
- Keep your password to yourself. Bids placed from your account are your bids.
- Weldon may block an account that bids without intending to pay, or that breaks these terms. Blocking an account takes its bids off every lot that is still open, and the price and leader of those lots are worked out again from the other bids.
- Weldon may limit how high a new account can bid until he approves it; the lot page says so if your bid is over the limit.
Bids
- A bid is a binding offer to buy the lot at the price your bid reaches. Bids cannot be withdrawn, with one exception: if Weldon posts an update marked as a material change after your last bid on a lot, you may withdraw your bid on that lot while it is still open.
- Once anyone has bid, a lot’s description, condition, photos, price settings and times no longer change. Anything new Weldon learns is posted as a dated update on the lot page, and every bidder gets a notice.
- Bidding works as described on How bidding works: maximum (proxy) bids, the lot’s increments, any reserve, and the soft close.
- The seller does not bid on his own lots, and nobody bids on his behalf.
- When a lot closes, the leading bidder wins if the reserve (if any) is met. The sale is between the winner and Weldon Hastings.
Condition
Each lot is described and photographed as honestly as Weldon can. Look at every photo and read the whole description. Unless a lot says otherwise, items are used and sold as they are, with no warranty. If a lot turns out to be materially different from its description when you collect it, tell Weldon before you take it; you may decline it and owe nothing.
Payment and collection
- Each lot page shows its payment method and the days a winner has to pay and collect. Those terms are fixed when the lot is listed; a later change to the site’s settings does not change them for that lot. Online payment through PayPal is in preview and not available yet.
- There is no buyer’s premium. Any other charge that applies to a lot is stated in the lot description before you bid.
- Collection is local pickup in the Cleveland area, unless the lot page offers shipping.
- If a winner does not pay and collect in time, Weldon may cancel that sale, offer the lot again, and block the account.
Cancelled listings
Weldon may cancel a listing before it closes, for example if the item is damaged or lost or the listing has a clear mistake. Everyone who bid gets a notice, and nobody wins it.
Questions about a cancelled sale or a cancelled listing: ask Weldon Hastings through the WeldonPC.com contact page.
Limits
The site is provided as is. Weldon’s responsibility for any lot is limited to the price paid for it. These terms are governed by the laws of Ohio.
